Tight end Parris to have surgery for lower-body injury
Syracuse junior tight end Josh Parris will have surgery after recently suffering a lower-body injury, SU Athletics announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon.
The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday and his status for the remainder of the season will be determined in the coming weeks, the press release said.
Parris caught the game-winning touchdown in the final regular-season game with six seconds left last year against Boston College to give the Orange bowl eligibility.
He played in all 13 games last season and had 90 yards on 13 receptions.
