Event: International Happy Hour & Disgraced

When: Thursday, 6 p.m.

Where: Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex

Join local restaurant With Love, Pakistan for an international happy hour before Syracuse Stage’s performance of “Disgraced.”



Event: Bella’s Bartok

When: Thursday, 8 p.m.

Where: Funk ’n Waffles Downtown

This six-piece melds punk with modern pop in a unique blend of eclectic blend of Eastern European Style. Featuring openers Chris James and Mama G, the show promises a dance-filled evening.

Event: DWC Visiting Author Readings: Poet Jeanne Marie Beaumont

When: Friday, 7 p.m.

Where: YMCA of Downtown Syracuse

Jeanne Marie Beaumont, a winner of the National Poetry Series, will read poems from her
new book “Letters from Limbo.” Beaumont currently teaches at The Unterberg Poetry Center,
and her work is the perfect event for word-enthusiasts.

Event: Ruddy Well Band

When: Friday, 8 – 10 p.m.

Where: May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society

Ruddy Well Band is a hometown favorite. Featuring classic Americana sound, the group has won the Sammy Award twice.

Event: Barroom Philosophers CD Release Party

When: Friday, 8 p.m.

Where: The Lost Horizon (5863 Thompson Rd.)

With animated vocals, rocking guitar and some sick drums, Barroom Philosophers is a high energy band that draws from multiple genres to inspire its work.

Event: Jurassic Quest

Where: Empire Expo Center at New York State Fairgrounds

Visit the “largest exhibition of lifesize, moving, museum-quality dinosaurs in North America” when it comes to Syracuse this weekend.

Event: Animal Winter Survival

When: Saturday, 2 – 4 p.m.

Where: Green Lakes State Park

After watching a presentation about how animals survive the winter cold, head out on a free, tour-guided hike and identify animal tracks in the snow.

Event: Painting with a Twist: Love Lights

When: Saturday, 7 – 9 p.m.

Where: Painting with a Twist (3179 Erie Blvd. E, Suite 131)

Bring a group of friends to the studio for this fun, instructor-led class on creating Valentine’s Day-themed paintings.

Event: Pops III: Cirque De La Symphonie Returns!

When: Saturday, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Where: Crouse Hinds Theater at the Oncenter Civic Center Theaters

Cirque de la Symphonie returns with Symphoria for a performance filled with aerial fliers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers and balancers. Performing to both classical and contemporary music, this will surely delight those looking to join the circus.

Event: Bridge Under Fire CD Release Show

When: Saturday, 6:30 p.m.
