Syracuse women’s basketball finalized its schedule for the 2024-25 season Tuesday, after the program announced its 18-game Atlantic Coast Conference slate. The Orange previously announced their 11-game nonconference schedule on Sept. 13. Eleven of their 29 games will be against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season.

SU’s season opens on Nov. 5 against Niagara in the JMA Wireless Dome. From there, it has four straight home games against Saint Joseph’s, Maryland, Fairleigh Dickinson and UAlbany. Last season, Syracuse’s only nonconference loss was to the Terrapins, falling 83-81.

The Orange will then compete in the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida, from Nov. 25-26. In the first round, they will play Missouri, then face either Wichita State or Creighton depending on their first-round result.

Next, Syracuse travels home to face Yale, before heading to College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M in the SEC/ACC challenge. SU rounds out its nonconference slate with games against Binghamton and Dartmouth.

The Orange will open ACC play on Dec. 8 versus Notre Dame, which they beat twice last season. Then, they go on a two-game road trip, facing Georgia Tech and Florida State, before returning home to play SMU and Miami.

After playing Louisville on Jan. 16, Syracuse travels to Boston College to play the first of two matchups against the Eagles. Four days later, SU will face NC State, which made the Final Four last year.

Following its bout with the Wolfpack, four of Syracuse’s next six games are against teams that didn’t make the NCAA Tournament last season — Clemson, Virginia, Wake Forest and California. However, the Orange play Virginia Tech and Stanford during this stretch, two of the best teams in the ACC.

To round out the regular season, Syracuse will square off against North Carolina, Duke and Pitt, before its second matchup with BC on March 2.

Last season, Syracuse tied program records in regular-season wins (23) and conference wins (13), losing narrowly to UConn in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Though in 2024, SU will be without three of its top four scorers from 2023, including Dyaisha Fair, who ranks third all-time in points in Division-I women’s basketball history.
