Sophistafunk
The fourth and final weekly Westcott Thursdays concert will feature performers Sophistafunk and Akuma Roots. The show will bring the series to its end for this year. Sophistafunk is known for their rap and funk music featured on various TV programs. Chef Guy Fieri is a fan of the band and featured it on his show “Guy’s Grocery Games.” Akuma Roots is supporting Sophistafunk. They are a reggae and Afrobeat band from the area.

Cage Collective x Abstract Archives
Spend your Thursday night at the Cage Collective’s show. The Cage is partnering with Abstract Archives, a magazine highlighting student fashion, art and music. Cage is hosting three different DJs – LTX, 3VA and AC Not Found. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
When: Thursday at 9 p.m., show at 9:30 p.m.

Noisy Boys
Hear some live music in the 1911 Tasting Room at the highest-rated apple orchard, Beak & Skiff. Local Syracuse pair Noisy Boys — Chris Krupa and Terry Clifton — met at LeMoyne College and formed their band in 1992. They play a mix of covers, ranging from U2 and Dave Matthews Band to The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. For over 20 years, they’ve played at several central New York venues, like Coleman’s Authentic Irish Pub and Middle Ages Brewing Co. The event is free and open to the public. Food and drinks are available in the Tasting Room and Tavern.

The Doobie Brothers
On Friday, the San Jose, CA band The Doobie Brothers will perform at the Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial. The band originated in the 1960s and released their self-titled debut album in 1971. The group, known for their album “Minute by Minute,” is currently on tour. Tickets are available online.
When: Friday at 8 p.m.

The String Cheese Incident
Enter the Wonderland Forest to experience The String Cheese Incident band. The bluegrass-rock group is on their “The Mexico Incident” tour, with central New York as its fourth stop. The five-piece band, originally from Colorado, took inspiration for its name from an incident at a restaurant where food went everywhere. Tickets can be bought here.
