There have been no “Punish a Muslim Day” fliers reported on Syracuse University’s campus, SU officials said in a Tuesday email.

Fliers circulated around the United Kingdom last month declaring April 3 “Punish a Muslim Day,” in which participants would earn points for committing violent acts against Muslims, according to The New York Times. The fliers were also distributed in several metropolitan areas in the United States.

“We are deeply saddened by and disturbed to learn of the distribution of hateful anti-Muslim posters,” said Hendricks Chapel Dean Brian Konkol and Imam Amir Duric, Muslim chaplain of the university.

Konkol and Duric said the university stands in solidarity with Muslim students, faculty, staff and neighbors, and urged campus community members to contact the Department of Public Safety if they learn of any anti-Muslim or Islamophobic communication on campus.

“To be clear: we have not received any reports of these abhorrent posters on the Syracuse University campus,” the officials said.
